Our Children Today
Our children today seem lost and astray
No leadership or guidance to show them the way
Sex, guns, and drugs are just a few reasons
That causes our children to commit such treason
Something must be done to conquer this threat
That's causing adults to have painful regrets
A step must be taken in a positive direction
To bring back the circle that will help this nation
Everyone must lend a helping hand
To ensure that our children will have a chance
A chance on this earth and in this country
To be all they can be -- and that is something
Someone to listen and be a friend
And not always chastise but also grin
To serve as a role model to look up to
A vision or goal that can one day come true
We as adults must assume the role
And start teaching our children what's right from wrong
Our children today deserve the best
So let's all pitch in and start on that quest.
