I wanted it to happen more sooner than later
I wanted our close relationship brought to an end
And it just so happened one day
I no longer saw your beautiful face
The feelings I felt and continue to feel
Tells me that our love was real
I thought I could put you out of my mind
But memories of you confirms I was blind
Your everyday touch and everyday smell
I miss so much my heart has swelled
These emotions I have are running so high
They brought me pain for my failure to try
Try to care and understand more than I did
Try to be a little more than a friend
All of these feelings I hold inside
