AFRAID TO
LOVE
Some people search for
love their entire lives
And never find it
Some people have love
waiting at their door
Yet fail to acknowledge
its presence
Some people reject love
Because they were never
given it
Some people reject love
Because it’s to good to
be true
Some people miss their
blessings in similar fashions
While the obvious is
sometimes known
Love is more than a
physical attraction
It’s an overwhelming
force that bonds two together
And it’s that force that
can last forever
Some people are afraid to
love
Because of past
experiences
And maybe rightfully so
But true love is
everlasting
And not a one person show
Afraid to love some
people may be
Rejecting love is all
they know
For love must be shown
for it to grow
To love, you must have
been loved
And to give love, one
must embody love
So there’s no need to
repress it
Open up your heart and
accept it.
